I am currently studying for a Ph.D as part of the Slowlight
project. I work with fellow Ph.D student Lee Weller, and supervisors Ifan Hughes and Charles Adams. My research interests involve
experimental and theoretical studies of spectroscopy, pulse propagation and the Faraday effect, in thermal alkali metal vapours.
My am currently working on finding the weak probe limit of resonant pulses in rubidium, with a view to making an all optical
switch harnessing the slowlight Faraday effect with optical pumping.
