I grew up in good old Germany in a little town Troisdorf where I attended the Heinrich Boell Gymnasium. In October 2003 I started to study physics at the university of Bonn where I graduated in December 2007. I did my Diploma thesis in the research group of Prof. M. Weitz, where I set up a Rb85 dipole trap. During my studies I joined the the Fraunhofer Institut fuer Lasertechnik in Aachen where I did a three months internship setting up a pump laser for a TiSa-Laser.

Currently I'm working on the Soliton project. where we'd like to study the dynamics of Solitons and the reflection of Solitons on a surface.
